Is Your Loan Modification Bank Too Slow or Uncooperative? Try This Simple Tip

July 6th, 2010

As foreclosure rates are outpacing the modification rates, homeowners are seeking all sorts of recourses available to them to save their homes. Either through loan modification, forbearance plans or payment plans owners are finding solutions to their mortgage problems. One recourse that is not often mentioned is the Forensic Loan Document Audit.

Obtaining approval for a mortgage is a very complex process. When purchasing a home you have a number of parties involved, including realtors, mortgage brokers, lenders, appraisers, title companies, surveyors, etc. The process of obtaining a loan is highly regulated from state to state as well as by the U.S. Federal Government. Therefore, all mortgages must have a paper trail beginning with the loan application and continuing all the way through to the closing.

When you apply, you fill out an application and sign several lender disclosures which we probably don’t even read. By law, certain disclosures are to be given to the borrower within certain time frames and the final numbers must be consistent with those originally quoted. Along the way, there could be a number of errors which you are never informed of. Inspecting the loan paperwork and discovering these errors are what a Forensic Loan Document Audit is for.

This audit can be very helpful in negotiating with your lender. The audit examines all the paperwork you received in connection with the loan. If you employ the services of a loan modification company, ask them about this audit. If they tell you it’s not necessary, or give you vague information, start looking for another modification professional to handle your paperwork.

During this type of audit, the auditor will look for Federal Law violations. Do your final documents match your initial ones? Were you provided the proper disclosures within the specified legal time periods? Were you the victim of Predatory Lending? Were you overcharged by your broker?

These are just a few of the items that the auditor will examine. Should any violations have occurred, your attorney can suggest a proper course of action you can take. In any event, it will help you get a better deal from your lender who doesn’t want any additional litigation expenses. Burn Baby Burn: Chronic Inflammatory Inferno - FREE Articles Directory

July 6th, 2010

You've heard the song, “Burn baby burn, disco inferno!” but probably never realized that it was about your body's inflammatory response to chronic nutrition related threats. “Satisfaction (uhu hu hu) came in the chain reaction (burnin') I couldn't get enough, (till I had to self-destroy) so I had to self destruct.” Suddenly 'Disco Inferno' by The Trammps is no longer quite so amusing. By pushing our body to react to diet related problems, we trigger a continuous inflammatory response that ultimately weakens our immune system and causes the proliferation of disease, resulting, as the song so ominously puts it, in our self-destruction. What triggers this massive inflammatory response? How exactly does it damage our body? And most importantly, what can we do about it? Read on as The Trammps and I seek to elucidate the dangers and remedies to this lethal condition.

“To mass fires, yes! One hundred stories high, People gettin' loose y'all gettin' down on the roof - Do you hear?” As the song reveals, we do indeed build fires in our system whenever the body is injured or encounters an infection. Part of the immune system's response to such threats is to send out inflammatory cells to attack and destroy the offenders and protect the healthy cells. However, when the body is faced with numerous simultaneous threats, your immune system enters a state of chronic inflammation, which can lead to disease as the body changes its regular responses. The 'massing of those fires' can lead to diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular and heart disease.

The inflammatory response is the body's reaction to injury or toxins. Take heart disease as an example. Cholesterol particles trapped in the artery wall become oxidized, and are then engulfed by inflammatory cells, leading to the formation of plaque, which can eventually rupture and cause a heart attack. And where does this cholesterol come from? Your diet.

“Folks were screamin' - out of control.” Indeed. The typical American diet is ridiculously high in red meat, Omega 6 fats, trans fats and high fructose corn syrup, all of which can provoke inflammation by providing chemical pathways that cause a chronic inflammatory state in the body. Arthritis and periodontal disease also lead to inflammation and can result in heart disease, while obesity can cause a general low-grade chronic inflammation. Adipose, or fat cells, can release inflammatory proteins into the blood stream, while obesity is correlated with the presence of C-reactive protein (CRP), one of the markers of inflammation that is produced by your liver.

“Everybody's goin' strong (uhu hu hu), And that is when my spark got hot.” You can go strong too if you follow certain basic principles to avoid chronic inflammation. The first and easiest way to reverse or prevent such a state is to change your diet so that it excludes processed foods and follows something more akin to the Mediterranean Diet (high in fruit, veggies, and whole grains and low in lean meat, fish, olive oil and wine.)Also, consume nuts and beans, which both have anti-inflammatory effects. Finally, and equally crucial, get moving! “Burn baby burn! Disco inferno!” Whether you're dancing, jumping, skipping, running, lifting weights or just shaking your groove thang, exercise can help lower the count of inflammatory proteins.

And remember: “Up above my head I hear music in the air - I hear music! That makes me know there's (somebody) a party somewhere.”

Wine and Fashion – TheFind blog

July 6th, 2010

By Carlina Harris

Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Treasure Island Wine Fest. It was smack dab at the end of Fleet week, so I saw some pretty groovy jets fly by in the midst of all the action! It was the inaugural event for the festival, and ran pretty smoothly if you ask me, a ton of unbeatable amenities were included with the entrance fee: all the wine you wanted to try, yummy appetizers, live music, wine seminars, blue angels, and fashion inspired guests!  Lets just say I hope I get invited next year too!

The weather on the day of the event was unbelievably cold, foggy, and overcast. As a member of the fashion community I couldn’t just schlep it into the event, wearing layers of sweats, and a puffer jacket!  So, I did what any good fashion editor would do, I stepped up my game, and rocked it out in a cute, comfortable and WARM outfit.

(wearing: navy pea-coat by Alloy, boyfriend pinstripe shirt by Alloy, black J Brand Jeans, Norma Kamali rose print scarf, Franco Sarto riding boots, and you can’t see my bag, but it was a beautiful vintage Bottega Venetta!)

(Getting my second taste at the Ironstone vineyard table. “Obsession Symphony” a 2008 California wine was my absolute favorite taste of the day!)

The overall consensus for the handful that dressed up was, comfy is chic. I saw a lot of long sleeved striped tops, every kind of boot imaginable (from rugged short cowboys, to tall heeled beauties), and one pair of short ankle length moccasin’s, that were to die for!

“Kick back chic”, future fall wine tasting outfit, from left to right: Minnetonka Ankle Tramper Moccasin boots, $60; AE long sleeved striped favorite T, $19.50; Anlo Jamie Ankle Scrunch Skinny Jeans, $185; Volcom Commando Jacket, $98.

Happy wine tasting!

Most of Firebird’s advantages are MSIE’s disadvantages, and vice-versa. This article will look at some of the advantages and disadvantages of Firefox in relation to MSIE.
Advantages
Security
Security is often cited as the primary reason for users switching from MSIE to Firefox. Security is of utmost importance for software that interacts with remote computers, in an era of high security risk activities such as online banking.
Firefox has fewer security holes and a tighter schedule of disclosing them. The enhanced security in Firefox is due to a multitude of factors the system’s inclusion of more source code reviewers and a better bug reporting system and exclusion of VBScript/ActiveX, often the source of vulnerabilities.
Meanwhile, Microsoft has been clamoring for years to try to clamp down on the MSIE security holes. It acquired an anti-spyware product, which it released under the banner of Microsoft AntiSpyware. It also promises its new Windows Vista platform will be more secure. However, Microsoft’s track record to date has done little to boost the confidence of today’s user.
Standards compliance
Firefox has vaulted ahead of MSIE with improved support for standard web protocols, such as its superior stylesheet compatibility.
Since MSIE had a leading marketshare, the company had less interest in conforming to web standards, and instead focused on proprietary protocols, with the goal of maintaining their market position. That is, the focus of Microsoft was to try to convert as much of its userbase to writing webpages and web applications that required a proprietary MSIE-approach, so that down the road, users would be less able to move off a Microsoft platform.
As a result, Microsoft neglected for years to improve support for basic open standards. For example, transparent PNG graphics did not work all the way through to MSIE version 6.
Multiple operating system platforms
Firefox is available for users who runs Windows (Windows 98 through to Windows XP), Mac OS X, all the leading versions of Linux, as well as some lesser-used operating systems. In comparison, Microsoft has dropped development for Mac, and other non-Windows systems. Furthermore, Microsoft has ceased new development even on their own versions of Windows, making the new MSIE only available to users who have a license for Windows XP.
Firefox also has a similar user interface among the different operating platforms. For deployments that have a mix of operating platforms (such as Linux for the techs, Macs for the graphic designers, and Windows for the accounts department), moving to Firefox for everyone thus brings technical support costs down.
Time-saving browser innovations
Internet communication and interaction is a core component for most modern businesses. Efficient use of web browser time translates to increased profits, so innovations to help workers do their tasks faster are welcomed.
Firefox leads MSIE in this regard, with out-of-the-box features such as integrated Google search in the toolbar, placing the find-within-page box at the bottom of the browser window so as not to obscure the text, and so on.
Disadvantages
Retraining
Any switch of software incurs a retraining cost. However, a switch from MSIE to Firefox requires only a mild amount of retraining.
The switch from MSIE to Firefox is designed to be easy, with proper import of bookmarks and other settings.
Browser interfaces are becoming standard, so understanding how to get up and running is not usually a problem. There are some only minor adjustments. For example, “Internet Files” in MSIE is called “Cache” in Firefox. One can use a downloaded MSIE theme so that the Firefox user interface even more closely resembles that of MSIE.
Incomplete migration
In a business with Windows computers, if the switch from MSIE to Firefox is incomplete, it can cost more to offer technical support for both browsers. This argument would only apply to shops whose Windows computers are all Windows XP. Since the new MSIE is only available for Windows XP, if there are different Windows versions (such as Windows NT or 2000), then the technical support team already needs to support different types of MSIE browsers.
Another consideration, however, is that even an incomplete switch from MSIE to Firefox could result in less technical support, since the Firefox users would be less likely to need help with fixing their computer after an MSIE-related security breach.

The Suitbale Is The Best

July 6th, 2010

Some people said when look at a man ,you see his shoes but at a woman is her handbag.

I had seen a very short girl who carrying a large Gucci Handbag. Though the handbag is beautiful, but her whole body seems uncoordinate . She looks even more short. Although a brand handbag is every woman’s pursuit, in my opinion, the suitbale is the best. It is unnecessary to pursuit a brand deliberately , to buy a appropriate handbag, maybe it is not the most expensive, but it is the most suitable for your own.

Just as the love, although you really love the man, although the man is handsome, he’s perfect in your eyes, perhaps he is the person you have wait for a long time . but after a period of coexistence, you find that he is not suitable for you, at this time, what should you do is to ending this sensation. In order not to bring too much harm.

Designer Handbags is also the same. the suitbale is the best. That is not to say that a Discount Designer Handbags has lost its original meaning, although it is cheap, but if it is suit for you, then it will looks coordinate when in your shouder. Even though a brand handbag looks very bright, but if it is not suit for you, there is no effection at all. Therefore, when we are selecting a handbag, you should choose the one which is the best suitable for you.

Sleep on a bed made of hay at a German heuhotel | Gadling.com

July 6th, 2010

It seems hay is not just for horses - it’s also for sleeping on at hotels in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Heuhotels (heu means hay in German) are hotels housed in converted barns where guests bed down in sleeping bags in dorm rooms with layers of hay covering the floor.

The heuhotel Zum Alten Marstall, located near the Neckar Valley in Germany, sits at the foot of an 11th century castle and takes the medieval theme and runs with it. The hay beds are referred to as “knight’s lairs” and staff dress in medieval clothes. Hay beds start at €19,50, while private rooms are €31 per person.

While other hay hotels around the area may not have a theme, they do offer extras like privacy curtains or “rooms” in converted stalls, and most seem to offer a communal breakfast and outdoor activities. It seems like the hotels would appeal most to budget travelers, families with young kids, or eco-conscious travelers, but one heuhotel owner claims the hay beds are also popular with couples, saying “there’s nothing more exciting than a night on the hay”….except perhaps a roll in the hay?

Check out a list of heuhotels all around Germany here. Or click here to see some unusual hotels in the United States.

How to design Roof Truss layout and related Truss drawings

July 6th, 2010

Article Rating: 0
email this articleprint this article

When we start designing a house we first create a truss layout which shows places where trusses will be fit in the roof, anticipated shapes of the top & bottom of the truss, plate heights and estimation of load on the trusses.

Roof trusses are widely used in residential and wood framed commercial projects. A roof truss is usually cost-effective and quick in construction than a roof framed with rafters. A roof truss is crafted from small pieces of lumber; it is then fabricated in a shop and after that set up at the site.

When we start designing a house we first create a truss layout which shows places where trusses will be fit in the roof, anticipated shapes of the top & bottom of the truss, plate heights and estimation of load on the trusses. The builder then gives this layout to its truss supplier. The truss supplier prepares actual design of each individual truss according to our roof design layout. The truss supplier may propose some modifications in the design because they have slightly different preferences to construct the truss using available proprietary software and CAD tools. Truss drawings as prepared by the truss supplier are then sent to the Architect for a review.

The architect forward these drawings to a truss engineer who further examines various parameters such as the size of home, dead/live loads based on geometry, required truss span and roof pitches and give final go ahead for fabrication. The completed truss drawings show precise placement of trusses in the roof structure and precise inter-relation of truss members.

A truss is normally designed to transmit dead and live loads to other members in the structure. With regards to new home construction, a dead load is the burden of static components like the truss itself, roof beams, roofing materials, sheathing and ceiling material. A live load is dynamic in nature, such as wind, snow, furniture, movable loads, etc. Trusses are crafted to prevent flexing and bending and are usually tied together with tooth like metal plates made from galvanized steel or metal.

The common truss contains parallel sides so as to have a nearly same pitch on both sides of a center point. A lot depends on the interior ceiling design and roof pitches of your home when designing a layout for roof truss. Roof truss design allows flexibility to change the interior space as the truss normally be placed on an outside wall, leaving the interior space free for you to design and decorate accordingly. Trusses come in a wide range of designs giving you a creative freedom to change the ceiling design!

Halloween Costumes And Hollywood

July 5th, 2010

Everyone knows that Halloween costumes are outfits worn on or around October 31, the day of Halloween. However, despite popular histories that claim Halloween goes back to ancient celebrations of Samhain, the fact is that there is very little evidence of masking or costuming on Halloween before the twentieth century. In fact costuming became popular for Halloween parties in America in the early 1900s, more often for adults than for children. Furthermore, the first mass-produced Halloween costumes appeared in stores in the 1930s when trick-or-treating was becoming popular in the United States.

What sets Halloween costumes apart from costumes for other celebrations or days of dressing up is that they are most often designed to imitate supernatural and scary beings. Costumes are traditionally those of monsters such as vampires, ghosts, witches, zombies, and devils. There are also costumes of pop culture figures like film, television, and cartoon characters. Another popular trend is for women and in some cases, men, to use Halloween as an excuse to wear particularly revealing costumes, showing off more skin than would be socially acceptable otherwise.

According to The National Retail Federation¡¦s (NRF) 2007 Halloween Consumer Intentions and Actions Survey, the top Halloween costumes for adults in the United States are: 1. Witch, 2. Vampire, 3. Cat or Mouse, 4. Princess, 5. Fairy, 6. Wench or Tart, 7. Clown, 8. Angel or Devil, 9. Nurse or Doctor

In Hollywood, celebrities seem to follow the trend as the popularity of Halloween partying rekindles. In recent years we have seen stars like Michelle Trachtenberg and Andrea Parker as very sexy vampires, Christina Aguilera as sexy nurses, Paris Hilton as a bunny, Lindsay Lohan as a dancer from Flashdance, Keira Knightly as a 1920¡¦s Flapper Girl, and Brittany Snow as Tinkerbell.

There are also numerous television shows that have a Halloween theme each year and quite often has some of the shows characters in costumes. Pauley Perrette was dressed as Marylin Monroe on NCIS, Julie Benz was dressed as Tomb Raider on Dexter, and Emily Deschanel dressed as Wonder Woman on Bones.

Of course there are also costumes in Hollywood that were not originally intended to have anything at all to do with Halloween but became favorites for Halloween parties. Jeannie from I Dream of Jeannie and Princess Leia from Star Wars are two costumes that pop up every year.

Fans that normally show their love for a particular show or celebrity with the collection of autographs and memorabilia use this time of year to go a step further and actually emulate their favorite characters or celebrities. This type of fan emulation has always been common but as Halloween regains popularity so does the popularity of loyal fans dressing up and displaying their devotion. So, just like autograph or memorabilia collecting dressing up for Halloween can be exciting and fun for fans and flattering for celebrities.
